Odyssey Counseling Services, PLLC

In a time marked by challenges unseen in the past century, we find ourselves in an era reminiscent of Charles
Dickens’ words: “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age
of foolishness.” As we reflect on our past, let’s live more fully in the present, and build a brighter future.

As a licensed professional counselor since 1983, I am dedicated to supporting adults through significant life
transitions. My experience spans counseling, teaching psychology, distance education, and social science research.
I believe that empathy, scientific understanding, reason, and action are necessary to help individuals overcome the
anxiety, depression, pain and trauma that disrupts their lives.

I have had the privilege of working with military veterans from three different conflicts, individuals coping with
injury or chronic illness, healthcare professionals, and parents navigating challenging issues.
My eclectic therapeutic approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Client-Centered,
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), and Gestalt. Working together in an alliance, we will explore your unique
situation and develop a tailored action plan to strengthen your resilience and emotional well-being.

As a long-time advocate of distance learning, I offer specialized telehealth counseling services to meet your needs.

Warm regards,

Michael Dennehy, MA, LPC, Ed.D.
